So I’ve got my first proper studio shoot booked and the brief literally just says ‘bring wardrobe options.’ Cool, except I genuinely don’t know what that means. For a BDSM or fetish shoot, what are you all actually packing, and how much does the studio usually provide?

Overpack and let the photographer trim it back. My go-to kit: two base looks (a bodysuit and a plain black set), one statement piece (latex or leather if you own any), hold-ups and stockings, simple heels, and a robe to throw on between setups. Seam-free nude underwear for fast changes. And message them ahead of time about what props and rigging the studio has, so you're not lugging duplicates.

— Ask what the studio supplies.

Practice getting your latex on at home before the day, it's fiddly and you'll want a polish cloth for the shine. Also pack makeup wipes, a dryer sheet or two for static, and a backup of anything you can't just re-buy that morning. Grip socks too, studio floors are brutal on your feet between shots.

— Consent is the whole game.
